I have been turning some of my paintings in to greetings cards recently. Some I have sent directly to printers, and some have been produced with a publisher. I am fairly new to all of this, so am working out the best, and most cost effective way of producing my cards.
I have sold a few at craft fairs, but will hope to sell them online, and at various retail outlets. This one is available to buy online at eBay as well as a few of my other designs.
One of my favourite cards is of my cat Sherry. She was a beautiful tabby and white cat, who sadly died two years ago. She was 17 years old, so she had lived a good long life.
I have been working on a series of 12 cat pictures for a calendar. Few of them are finished, and some are still just sketches. I will get it finished one day!!! I love painting cats, but am really fussy about getting it right. One of the hardest bits to do is the eyes. If you get that bit right, then everything else seems to fall in to place. If you get the eyes wrong.....well you just end up doing them again!
The eyes worked on Sherry's picture, so that is why I have chosen this one to turn in to a card.
I did another one of her, in a garden setting, and may get this one printed up as well. The two designs are quite similar, and I am not sure which one I prefer.
