The colour red.

Recently I have been very drawn to the colour RED. It may be because it is mid winter now, and this makes me feel warm. It may be comforting and calming. I rarely wear red clothes , but I am buying things for my house in red. I recently bought some coral red soup bowls, some orange and red plates, and have just replaced the kettle with a new one..you guessed it, red!  I painted a feature wall in my studio a deep red, and have made quite a lot of red cushions recently. Here are a couple of them......

So what is it about red that people like so much. I thought I would do a bit of research................

Flashing red lights draw our attention the most, so are used for danger and emergency.
Red carpet treatment, means to treat someone well, like a VIP. A red letter day is really important.
Red light can be an effective treatment of migraine.
Red does not make bulls angry, because they are not able to see it. So this is a myth. They only see in shades of sepia and browns ( as do most mammals).

Red is the least popular hair colour. Only 2% of people, in the world, have this naturally. This one does not look very natural though!
